BMOI Pickleball Court Rules & Regulations

Use of Courts:
  1. Court use is limited to BMOI members and guests.
    1. Guest privileges may be extended ONLY when the host or hostess is present, with exceptions of house guests.
    2. One court may be utilized per host/hostess.
  2. The use of the pickleball courts is limited to pickleball and spec tennis play only. No skateboards, bikes or other activities are allowed on the courts.
  3. USA Pickleball/IFP approved paddles and pickleballs are required. Please be considerate of our neighbors and consider using a pickleball paddle and balls that are labeled as quiet or muffled.
  4. Non-marking tennis shoes are required by players and spectators entering the courts.
  5. Chairs or other hard sharp objects are not allowed on the courts.
  6. Players are responsible for sweeping gravel, dirt, sand and other debris off of the court before use.
  7. Clearing snow is permitted only with brooms.
Reservations:
  1. Reservations are made at: https://www.yourcourts.com/
  2. Reservations may be made by BMOI Members for one court per day, one week in advance, for up to 120 minutes. Reservations can be made on the BMOI site, see following link to allow for drop-in play. Same-day reservations are not permitted.
  3. Reservations are not permitted during drop-in play hours.
  4. If you cannot keep your court reservation, please cancel it as soon as possible. No-shows forfeit their courts 10 minutes after the scheduled time. Repeated no-shows will result in loss of court reservation privileges.
  5. Etiquette in the case of a reservation court conflict:
    1. Online posting of the court schedule is the most recent and governs court usage. The Racquet Club Director will try to post a paper version at courts on a regular basis, but it will inevitably become out-of-date. Players are advised to make online reservations in advance or to at least check availability before walking-on to a court, except during drop-in play.
    2. Court conflicts shall be handled in a polite, neighborly manner, using the court priority listed above. In the event of a “tie” in priority, courts are available on a first-come, first served basis. Comments, questions or complaints may be directed to the Bow Mar Racquet Club.
    3. Drop-in Play:
      1. Two courts will be reserved for drop-in play during the following times:
        1. 8:00AM-12:00PM and 4:00PM-7:00PM.
      2. One game will be played to 11 points, and if players are waiting, all players leave the court and 4 new players rotate onto the court.
      3. Waiting players will stack their paddles at the designated location to ensure fair rotation.
